As our newly appointed Secretary you will provide a comprehensive administrative, secretarial service and assist in basic legal tasks for the Fee Earners of PM Law (Specialist Claims) Ltd.

Role Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • To provide an administrative and clerical service for the Directors/Fee Earners of PM Law (Specialist Claims) Limited, including audio typing.
  • To liaise with Medical Agencies to organise appointments, collate records and reports.
  • To assist the Directors/Fee Earners with their cases as and when required, under their supervision.
  • To assist the Directors/Fee Earners in dealing with clients via telephone/e-mail.
  • To assist in preparation and drafting of witness statements.
  • To prepare trial bundles.
  • To prepare Court documentation.
  • To photocopy documents.
  • To utilise the Case Management system, including management of the Directors’/ Fee Earner’s task lists and updating Proclaim.
  • To ensure the accurate upkeep of the cases on the Proclaim Management system.
  • To ensure all telephone calls, notes, letters, e-mails and documents are recorded on the Proclaim management system and accurately described.
  • To utilise the procedures, tasks, dates and precedents within the Proclaim Management system.
  • To ensure that the Department’s filing system is updated and that documents can be easily retrieved.
  • To assist the department in achieving the targets set.
  • Answer reception calls for PM Law (Specialist Claims) Limited.
  • Greet visitors in reception, as and when required.
  • To work in any other areas as requested by the Company if necessary, which may include other offices.

What we need from you

We require a person who:

  • Has secretarial experience in a professional environment.
  • Is organised and has a keen eye for the finer details.
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office.
  • RSA Typing and/or Audio Typing Stage II – desirable.
  • Good standard of education.
