Role Purpose

To manage a high-volume caseload of personal injury claims, progressing each case efficiently towards settlement or trial. The role requires strong litigation skills, strategic case planning and a proactive approach. With a focus on delivering exceptional client service, the postholder will provide clear, timely advice and guidance, maintain regular communication, and ensure each client feels supported throughout the legal process.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of RTA, EL, PL, Fast Track, Intermediate and Multi Track claims from inception through to resolution, ensuring timely progression and maximisation of damages and cost recovery.
  • Receive and assess new cases, preparing and implementing initial and evidence action plans to ensure proceedings are issued at the earliest opportunity.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into liability, causation, injury and rehabilitation needs, while quantifying claims and pursuing subrogated losses where applicable.
  • Prepare litigation materials including pleadings, application notices, disclosure lists, witness statements, schedules of loss, and trial bundles.
  • Maintain compliance with Civil Procedure Rules, court orders, internal policies and supplier SLAs, seeking authority and applying to vary orders when required.
  • Attend court hearings and perform advocacy, whilst providing clear, timely advice to clients on case progress and settlement offers.
  • Ensure appropriate litigation funding is in place and maintained, minimising adverse cost orders and exposures to write-offs through proactive case management and compliance.
  • Use case management systems and management information tools to monitor performance, organise workloads and meet individual and team targets.
  • Deliver consistently high standards of client care, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
  • Seek appropriate authority and escalate technical issues to senior colleagues when necessary.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures at all times.
  • You may be required to perform any other duties and to work in any other areas as requested by the Company if necessary, which may include other offices and those of clients

What we need from you

  • Qualified solicitor with minimum of 4 years PQE
  • Excellent knowledge of current personal injury procedure and litigation processes and tactics
  • Previous experience handling personal injury claims from inception though to trial.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess evidence, determine prospects and provide clear advice and guidance to clients.
  • Exceptional communicator and influencer.
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
