We have a specialist and dedicated Conveyancing business that forms part of the PM Law Group.

As our newly appointed Team Leader within our Transactional Team, you will oversee a team of Property Lawyers and Legal Assistants within the Conveyancing Department in Sheffield. This includes working with fellow Team Leaders to ensure all the departmental KPI’s and SLAs are achieved.

This role will be based in the Conveyancing Department in Sheffield, however, there may be a requirement to work in other areas of the business as the need arises.


Role Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients over the telephone, by email and in face-to-face meetings as part of the Client Facing Legal Assistant Team always providing the highest level of customer service to clients.
  • Ensure all departmental KPI’s and SLAs are achieved with the support of fellow Team Leaders
  • Effectively manage and motivate your allocated team.
  • Hold regular 121’s, training, coaching and team meetings with your allocated team.
  • Carry out regular audits of files and phone calls to provide feedback as part of 121 process.
  • Monitor your team and your individual staff performance on a daily basis.
  • Manage any underperformance or improvement requirements in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing the training of all new starters to the team.
  • Create a positive and inspiring team environment and culture.
  • Feedback on a weekly and monthly basis to the Managing Director with team performance and any issues.
  • Be the first point of contact for all queries from your appointed team.
  • To always provide the highest level of customer service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain required % service level on calls received into the department and ensure team is meeting this as a minimum average each month.
  • Ensuring we meet the SLA for responding to secure messages via the PMPL app.
  • To ensure all portals are kept up to date and feedback any issues relating to work referrers.
  • To attend and contribute to team meetings.
  • To always comply with all PM Property Lawyers Ltd policies and procedures.
  • To undertake such duties as the Managing Director may reasonably require from time to time.
  • To be a role model for those around in both file management, use of the case management system, your actions and behaviour.

What we need from you

  • Minimum of 4 years proven experience in a customer service role.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in the conveyancing / property sector – Desirable not essential
  • Previous experience successfully managing a team.
  • Has experience working in a legal, insurance or professional environment.
  • A tactful communicator.
  • A track record of providing operational and soft skills training.
  • Able to comfortably communicate targets and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication .
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to effectively organise and prioritise workloads.
  • Willingness to adhere to and surpass set targets.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • A motivated and driven self-starter.
